Om Shri Gayathriyai Devyai nama:
The GAYATHRI
MANTHRA is our National Manthra and it should be chant by all irrespective of
cast, creed and Sex. The Vedha Marga is advocating this. Now a days our ladies
were not allowed to for Upanayanam and they were isolated from doing any
upasana. It is not enough either to do Lakshmi Ashtothram, Lalitha Sahasranamam
etc. Before that they have to initiated with Gayathri Mandra. Ladies play a
vital role in all walks of our life. They are also entitled to do all upasana
and also they have got every right to perform Homam. For example a small thing
I would like quote here as example.
1. When we
are Brahmachari we are not allowed to do any Hoamam even for Srardham through
Agni mugandhram. A Brahmachari can not have the right for Agni unless he get
into marriage which means through his wife only he gets the Agni. That means
all ladies possess them self with Agni. Without
Agni No Homam. Apart from this when he is doing such Homam his wife is
standing behind him by holding Dharpai which touch his body. What it means? She
is giving her energy to concern person (which is being transmitted through
Dharbai) When that is the case, Why they were not allowed to perform their
nithya karma. Preventing ladies to do their Nithya karma has been influenced by
some unwanted external sources and unknowingly we are still adopting it. THIS IS
WRONG.
All of us
saying that we are adopting Vedha margm. But honestly speeking we are not.
Here I would
like to quote some messages from the Vedhas:
' UttishTata mAA svapta
animicchadhvam BhArata:/"
Meaning:-
"Oh men of Bharathi! Arise, Awake worship agni" The above statement extols all Bharathiwas to
be awake and worship Agni. “Bha” in
Sanskrit denotes light and one who worships fire/Agni is called “bhAratheeya”.
The very fact that India is called “BHARAT” confirms the fact that all Indians were
following the Vedhas and leading their life as said in Vedhas. The worship of
Agni starts after the Upanayanam and continues after marriage. In fact the real
Agni worship and life starts after marriage only. Once life full only after
marriage.
What is
Vedhic path:
The
primordial energy (Siva and Sakthi) which created the whole universe, laid down
the Vedic path so that every human being could live happily enjoying all
comforts – social and spiritual. It is nothing but the life lived by our seers,
(i.e. eternal familial life with wife and children) ordained by the Vedhas. The
only routine objective of the Vedhas is grhastashramam (i.e. with familial life
[Dhampathya] husband, wife and Children so on)
which is one and only Ashrama started by the Vedhas and which can really
lead one to get the fruit of this birth {i.e.salvation}
Brahmacharyam
is the form of Vedha adyayanam, bearing all sorts of happiness. Well-being,
etc., This brahmacharyam is the first step and the path to the next auspicious
stage of familial life ( i.e. grahastyashramam) the path to salvation said in
the Vedhas. This brahmacharyam is the form of learning of the Vedhas and Gayathri
worship which is applicable to all including women irrespective of their caste,
creed and sex.
“ BrahmacharyeNa kanyA
yavAnam vindate patim “
(Athava
Vedha – kanda 11. Su 17)
Meaning:- A
kanya acquires a youth as husband by virtue of Brahmacharya. Many such vedic
hymns glorify the significance of brahmacharyam for girls as well. The effect
of brahmacharyam dwells in grahastyashramam which is the only Ashram accepted
by the Vedha. Rishis including Apasthambha opine the sane, as the suthA of his
says:-
“aykashramyam Tvacarya:
Pratyakshavidhanat Garhasthasya”/
(Apasthamba
Suthram)
Meaning:- There is only one Ashramam which is the
Grahasthashrama
Many such
utras exound such advocacies. Hence the reason for our seers like atri,
kashyapa, vsishta, agastya, bharadvaja and others to lead a vedic lifestyle. A
life with wife, doing penance, performing daily rituals (nithya karma) Gayathri
upasana (worship) of agni, yagnya and chanting of Vedas unitl their last breath
is the vedic way of living. Our forefathers also lead such an ascetic life of
penance and experienced the Brahman.
All of us
belong to the lineage of those ascetic maharishis and dharma is especially for
us. The maharishi dharma is the form of eternal familial life (nityagArhastya) is
the objective of all vedhas also well evident from Ramayana.
Individuals
devoid of this dampatya are devoid of moksha, brahma samyujyam. Belivers and
followers of Vedas in its true sense should dwell in the eternal Grahastya
dharma. This maharishi dharma which is the divya marga of vedhas is called
Brahma marga which bestows happiness and well-being everywhere.
The vedic
path and the dharma have become almost extinct. Rather other practices which
are contrary to the laws of Nature have cropped and are spread throughout the
length and breadth of our land. Let us practice the Vedic religion in its true
sense, follow whatever is said in vedhas and let us not succumb to the
accustomed dogmas. It is not only sufficient if we practice the true vedic
religion but also let others know what it is. This practice should not sink
with our self but should prolong till our lat heir.
Vedhas being
universal in nature and common to all, the above way of life is to be followed
by one and all without any difference in the name of caste, color, creed or
sex. The above has to be followed while carrying on our normal day to day
activities by organizing oneself. The vedhas affirm equality which is evident
from the hymn of the yajur veda
“YathemAm vAcham
kalyAnim AdadAmi Janebhya;
Brhma rajanyabhyam
Sudrya ca Aryaya ca
Svaya-caranaya ca……”
which means “Just as I am speaking these blessed words to the people, these words are for the men and women. The Brahmanas, kshtriyas, vishayas. Sudras and all others irrespective of they being our own people or aliens”
which means “Just as I am speaking these blessed words to the people, these words are for the men and women. The Brahmanas, kshtriyas, vishayas. Sudras and all others irrespective of they being our own people or aliens”
Let us
understand that:-
1. Vedhas are for all. Gayathri gives the basic qualification
2. Agni worship is the basic of life
3. Agni is not physical fire but the
energy source of cration
4. Salvation is only through this Agni
workship
5. This can be understood and achieved
through marriage only.
WHY OF LIFE ENVISAGED IN THE
VEDHAS
1. Upanayanam and Gayathri Upasana
2. Learning of vedhas to understand the
concepts of creation, and its existence as per vedha
3. Giving offering to the fire both in
the morning and evening (Samithadanam)
4. After full learning of vedhas and its
meanings enter into married life
5. Leading a married life is a part of
Agni upasana
6. Giving offering to the fire twice a
day with wife
7. Finally offering one’s body in the
same fire after death symbolizing that the energy which created us and
sustained us throughout the life is the one with which we merge and attain
salvation.
HOW TO FOLLOW THE ABOVE
WITH REGARD TO UR PRESENT SITUATION IN THE WORLD
1. Upanayanam and Gayathri initiation
2. Learning of essential suktas
(recitations) and chanting Gayathri mantra (Gayathri is the essence of Vedhas)
3. Leading a married life ony
4. Performing important samskaras
(rites) as said in the Vedas with the help of those who are well versed with
it.

Dear Sir,
ReplyDeleteI am honoured that you have asked me to comment about your blog.First of all take my Namaskaram/Vanakam.Let me frankly tell you,I am not a genious in this field. It is my enthusiasm that I am going through it.
Still, ladies should be allowed to do Veda Paaraayanam.Their should not be any dogma or superstition behind it.Nowadays ,it is very difficult to survive as a Brahmin.
Anyway,I will do some study in the subject and prepare a paper for all.
yours faithfully,
P M Mohan
